David Baker, LPC-S

Mr. Baker graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and then received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. His experiences include working with Child Protective Services, the criminal justice system, the education system, and public mental health. 

 

In his 13 year career with the Heart of Texas Region MHMR, he has had the opportunity to be involved in the development of several innovative programs such as crisis treatment, jail diversion, forensic assertive community treatment, outpatient competency restoration, and most recently school based mental health.

He has lived in Waco since 1996 and is married with 3 children. His wife and he have served as foster parents for many years and are currently active in their local church where they lead the college and career ministry.
